Your journey begins with the enquiry you make; it could be by phone, email, or through our website form. This is your first step in reaching out to us, and the following are the typical steps of what happens next
After your initial enquiry, a member of the Acorn team will contact you for a brief introduction. We normally message you first to fix a time for a call so that we are not disturbing you at work etc. During this call, we’ll discuss your circumstances and the treatment options you might have in mind. We offer a free telephonic consultation with one of our experienced doctors or nurses. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and receive professional guidance on your fertility options. It’s a no-obligation discussion aimed at helping you take the next steps.
Following your consultation, you will receive a summary letter outlining the proposed course of action, potential tests, treatment options, and their costs. Please note that these costs may vary depending on the results of further tests.
If you’re happy with the telephonic discussion and the overview of possible invesigations and treatment options (and the indicative prices), we’ll schedule your first clinic visit.
This is when your fertility journey starts to gather momentum.
Before your appointment, we’ll gather more detailed medical history, either over the phone or through an online form. This helps us prepare for your consultation and ensures that nothing important is overlooked.
During your first consultation, you will undergo a scan, AMH test (fertility reserve), and any other necessary tests. You’ll have an in-depth discussion with one of our fertility doctors to refine your treatment plan. This is where the path ahead becomes clearer.
Once your treatment plan is finalized, we offer counselling services. Fertility treatments can be emotionally challenging, and our counselling team is here to support you every step of the way.
Infection screening is a vital part of fertility treatment. We’ll arrange for this screening, either through your GP or at our clinic, to ensure everything is ready for the next steps.
At this stage, we’ll discuss the projected costs of your treatment and finalize any financial plans. You’ll receive a relevant invoice, and the first payment will be arranged.
To streamline the process, we arrange online consent forms for your convenience. This ensures that everything is in order before treatment begins.
The Time Table for your actual treatment will be carefully prepared and shared with you and the Acorn team. This plan will include all necessary steps (which injections, doses, dates of scans etc) and timelines, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
We’ll arrange the prescription for any necessary medications. This ensures you’re fully prepared for the start of your treatment.
For treatments requiring injections, we offer teaching sessions. These can be done in person or via video to make sure you’re comfortable and confident in administering your medications.
Finally, we’ll provide clear instructions for starting your treatment, including when to begin on the first day of your period. This marks the start of your journey toward achieving your fertility goals.

•These seem a lot of steps and may worry it can take a long time. But many of the steps can overlap or could be done together. E.g. your infection screening tests can be done on the day of your first consultation. Counselling, Online Consents and financial agreement can all be done over the phone and net.
•Splitting the entire starting process in these steps is more for the purpose of clarification. The entire process can happen in 2-3 weeks with 2-3 clinic visits (including the first consultation).
