If you are 44 or 45 the chances of conceiving with your own eggs is very low and most clinics will dissuade you from having IVF with your own eggs and go for IVF with donor eggs. Ans: Success rates for IVF using a woman’s own eggs decline as age increases. For women over 40, the success rate per cycle is generally around 10% (provided all other factors are favourable). For women aged 42 and older, the success rate drops further, well below 5%.
Using donor eggs can increase success rates to 30-60%, depending on various factors.

Ans:Women over 40 may require additional testing to assess their ovarian reserve and overall reproductive health. This can include blood tests for hormone levels (AMH, LH. FSH), and antral follicle count (AFC) using internal ultrasound scan.
Checking the embryos for quality (normal chromosomal numbers “euploidy”) is an advanced test which can be done on the embryos (not on you) but that discussion you can have with our doctors during your consultation.

Ans: Women over 40 face chances of failure of IVF treatment, including a lower chance of implantation and a higher risk of miscarriage. There is also and increased likelihood of chromosomal abnormalities in embryos (Down’s syndrome like conditions).
Pregnancy-related risks, such as gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and complications during delivery, are also higher for women over 40.
